Congratulations to Jordan Lynch, Branch Manager in Sac City, on successfully completing the 2026 Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) Consumer Credit School this March.

The IBA Consumer Credit School is designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of consumer credit professionals across the banking industry. The program prepares participants to serve effectively and profitably as consumer credit officers while expanding their understanding of the consumer credit function within retail banking.

Through the program, participants gain valuable insight into how consumer lending contributes to a bank’s overall success. The curriculum focuses on understanding how consumer credit supports bank profitability, strengthens competitive positioning, and helps banks meet the evolving needs of their customers. The program also emphasizes the managerial, administrative, and relationship-building skills needed to effectively manage a bank’s loan portfolio.

Reflecting on her experience, Jordan shared:

“One of the most valuable takeaways from the IBA Consumer Credit School was gaining a deeper understanding of how to evaluate credit beyond just a credit score. The program emphasized looking at the customer’s full financial picture – cash flow, repayment ability and the borrower’s goals.
Understanding this will help me better serve my customers by allowing me to ask better questions and structure credit in a way that supports their long-term success. It also reinforced the importance of responsible lending. After attending, I feel better equipped to help customers make informed borrowing decisions while supporting the financial health of the community we live and work in.”

Jordan’s completion of this program reflects her commitment to professional development and to providing knowledgeable, high-quality service to customers in Sac City and the surrounding communities.

Congratulations, Jordan, on this accomplishment!
