Nobody likes tricks when it comes to banking, which is why Iowa Trust focuses on the treats!
Community banks’ relationship-based focus has made us America’s favorite lenders, with approval ratings from borrowers that exceed those of megabanks and online lenders, according to a Federal Reserve small business credit survey.
It is not just proximity that wins repeat business, however. Unlike credit unions and the Farm Credit System, Iowa Trust effectively serves both individuals and agricultural borrowers without taxpayer-funded subsidies.
We put our tax dollars to work right here in our communities, helping to support local police and fire departments, schools, and other municipal services. And Iowa Trust helps strengthen our community through philanthropic outreach and civic service.
The treats don’t end there. Nearly one in three U.S. counties are only served by a community bank, and community banks have a track record of helping underserved Americans by providing greater flexibility to low-income and minority borrowers.
In fact, community banks fund more than 60% of the nation’s small businesses, which account for two out of every three jobs added to the economy. Community banks also fund more than 80 percent of agriculture loans.
We won’t disguise tricks as treats, when good things happen to you, Iowa Trust and our community win as well. That’s the community banking difference, and it’s pretty sweet!
